Abstract
Preliminarytestestimators(PTEs)forpowerofparameterandtworeliabilitymeasureR(t)=P(X>Y)andP=P(X>Y) of Generalized Inverted Scale family of distribution are developed based on record value.Preliminary test confidence interval (PTCI) is also developed based on uniformly minimum variance unbiased estimators (UMVUE), maximum likelihood estimator (MLE). A comparative study of different methods of estimation done through simulation establishes that PTEs perform better than ordinary UMVUE and MLE.
