This paper studies the application of present situation of the GIS platform in the power industry, in view of the existing problems, putting forward a kind of spatial data model of the power facilities for power industry, and putting forward clustering indexing method based on semantic meaning, and accelerating the response speed of the multi-level cache mechanism. And finally the article is presented the possible problems, and the future outlook of the development of electric power GIS platform.
